It was just another night, who knew it was the end
A scary fateful night, that would indeed take a friend
A Saturday night like any other, just out to have some fun
When all of a sudden they swerved, and the wheels spun
They prepared themselves, waiting to see what they would hit
When they saw that it was a pole, they cried out, "oh shit"
As drivers passed by, the police were called, and ambulance came
Cars stopped and gathered round others did the same
Families were called to hear their worst nightmares were true
Friends and neighbors called to see what help they could do
One life was lost, One's life is on the line
These were friends I went to school with, death never crossed my mind
Three others were hurt pretty bad, but I heard they're okay
Thats physically not emotionally, by the way
You never think it can happen to you, or someone that you know
Life is just too short and thats the way it goes
So live your life, yeah live it up while your still here
Because for death no one will ever find a cure
Dont ever let stupid or petty things get you down
Smile everyday your alive and never show a frown
Love yourself and others, stay true to your friends
Because you never know when or who's life will end

Meridian (70.106.28.180) -- Friday, February 17 2006, 05:11 am Hey Sweet_Suicide. So true. Your poem is inspiration, because I can finally say that I've been there, when it comes to getting involved with an accident. Life is too short. My parents told me, "you can always get another vehicle, just not another you". I needed this poem. It was reassuring. |
