Stormy Nights
12 June, 2000
Author: Tammie Groat
The wind blows against the window pain
Slowly I hear the beating rain
I hear my beating heart
I don't know where to start
Stormy nights come and they go
Why they do I don't know
I feel the wind come threw the door
and I know it will forever more
Sometimes I wonder why
Sometimes I want to fly
Way up high way up high away from the world below
Stormy nights come and go
I toss and turn
Wondering what I did learn
How long will my candle burn
I toss and Turn
I still hear the rain
Maybe these stormy nights will take away my pain
