My Time To Go

An Angel touched my shoulder,
it felt so truely devine.
The only thing I didn't know,
it had now became my time.
She held me tightly in her arms,
and wiped away my tears.
I told her I wasn't ready,
I had so many more years.
She told me Jesus needed me, that
he needed me right away.
So off we went up to the sky on
a beautiful summers day.
We got to the golden gates, they
opened up so wide.
My Grandpa walked up to me, and said
now you can come inside.
Oh what such beauty! There was
beauty all around.
I seen all my loved ones,
I heard the trumpets sound.
Everyone was dancing, the Angels
guiding my way.
I walked up to Jesus
he reached out both his hands,
and took a hold of mine.
He said today My Child you came home,
because it was your time.

This is a very beautiful poem, I love the way the poem flows, and the description of being taken up to heaven was perfect!

I agree

When the trumpet sounds; When God cracks the sky; no more tears; I'm telling this world goodbye..........
Sorry Tammy, just got caught up in this poem; forgot where I was at. I can almost type in Tammy's lyrics at aol.com and might come across this excellent, extravagant poem. You could be nominated or win a Grammy for this one! You go girl!!!!!!!!!!
