The Darkness

I hear echoes of the winds
whispering in my ear,
as the leaves on the trees ruffle.
The darkness shadows me,
as it creeps upon the earth,
and I am alone.
My body quivers, as the
darkness invades me.
The stars trying to give me light,
as the moon follows my
every step.
But the darkness shadows me,
and I am alone.
I walk lost... lost in the darkness
of the night.
In the depths of darkness it
shadows me, and I am alone.
