The Way That I Loved You
3 February, 2004
Author: Terrie*
The way that I loved you
the way that I cared
the way that you made me feel
If I could for just one more day
Make a wish
I’d make a wish to rewrite that final day
and make it last an eternity
A part in my life
I’d never delete
the reason the purpose
that you crossed my path for the third time
was something unexplainable
but yet something so sensual I felt deep in my soul
the way that I cared
If I could for just one more day
Revive that strength that we had
Breathe into you a new breath of life
I’d do it in a heart beat
Am I wise for loving you so deep?
Am I wise for the moments to cherish ?
I want forever to keep
Am I wise to continue this love for you?
And keep you in my heart till the end of time?
If only I could turn back time I would
I could never stop loving you
the way that I do
You remain in my heart
In my veins and in my flesh
The way that I cared for you remains
A big part in my world
The way that I loved you
Continues to make me sigh
The way that I loved you
With the world I’d happily share
The way that I loved you
was perhaps an addiction
stronger than a drug
a contagious feeling safer than a virus
a feeling more final than death
the way that i want you
now that you are gone
Makes my lonely heart ache
you've become my forbidden fruit
i can no longer touch hold or have
The way that I loved you
continues up until eternity
You are my yesterday
my today
and my tomorrow
You are the feeling
That remains
in the way that I loved you…
