In The Vision Of My Eye by Terrie*

listen
listen to that sound
that’s the sound of my heart
it's always singing a happy tune

so much it's memory has shared
when I fell in love when you were both born
and developed this lil world of paradise in my heart

a stream of a lovely waterfall
a special world of my own
that you both brought to me
when you were both born

everyone remarked positivily on the love that we have
and of that love that we lost ,known as your Dad
everybody wanted a lil bit of what we all shared
as we walked by everyone looked on w/a smile

we told them that the only way
was to believe in the miracles that love & devotion can bring that’s how you both were created

you both were made from the love recipe in our hearts
your both my magical miracle blessings I adore
a special place in my heart for you both I will always have
your dad & I continued to pour that love into your lives

and i hope that love continues forever more
all eyes could see the magic, that all that brought
by the two of you when you were born into our lives
family, friends and strangers admire & respect you both
as you both got older i continue to be so proud & pleased and i always let it be known

Even if your husband is gone, you can always look at your children and see his face, they are your gifts from him. I may someday have children of my own, but I'll never be able to see the man I loved in their eyes after he's gone.

As you know, sometimes and more often than not, it is the lords direction, that he places upon us. Sometimes, we can't see, the tears in our heart's eye, make the course, he has planned, difficult fo us to see.

Yet, he gave us all our love, that which we share with mortals like you and me, yet, its the tears in our hearts eye, that seem to cloud the vision, of the Lord's planned direction, but in time, we will see.

The course he has directed, will lead us back to love, we think it is so, far away, that is not true, You see and feel his love, everyday that you breath and with his wisdom, "ALL," his love, will return to you, all that you thought you lost, all you felt was taken away from you, will all come back and your vision will be clear. No one has ever left, no one was ever taken back, for the love remains with you, even if, your eyes are blurred, by..., all his love for you.

thank you for commenting on this poem i wrote to my kids. they are the best gift given to me by my husband made possible thru Gods Grace.. and yet there are times to where i can not picture his face, i always see and feel his heart and loving nature thru my kids.. in the eyes of your heart you will see the one you loved in their eyes.....my kids are young adults now and in my vision ( both in my heart and in my sight) they have continued to make me proud, they have touched many strangers heart thru their caring nature...have a blessed day!!! thank you for commenting..on this poem, even though i do visualize my husband in both our kids in both my heart/sight..even in thought...i will always see him thru them and that is a good thing, and of course,it has taken me a lonnnnnnng time. sure i believe that someday true love will come again into my life, now of course if you would of told me that back in 1991..i would of probably gotten uptight w/you as i did everyone else about it. because of the fresh loss..and well now... yea i understand what you mean.. thanx for reading/commenting. i feel like i may have gotten off the subject of the poem i apologize..quash...erase the board : ) this poem portrays the happiness i felt in my heart upon the birth of my kids..due to the love that my husband and i shared,the love we shared w/our kids and how i continue today to respect them for the young adults that they have become..Yeap color me a Proud Mum...thanx 'gain...Terrie*
