In Memory
13 October, 2003
Author: Bench
To my dearest boy
So young yet departed from us.
I mourn for the loss,
But will cherish the memories.
It was just a few years back
When you were sitting in my room,
Ever so hungry for knowledge,
Wanting to grow up fast but still a child.
We shared a lot of laughter, you and I.
And there were those serious moments too.
I learned from you
As much as you learned from me.
I learned to be more giving, more forgiving,
I learned to be more patient, more loving.
I learned to laugh when things were down.
I learned to love myself too, because of you.
Now that you have left us
I make this heartfelt wish...
Smile forever my friend
And be peaceful wherever you are.
Goodbye dear friend...
