Hush The Night Away
8 January, 2004
Author: Terrie*
I'm awaken by someone caressing my face
I turn around to find you occupying that empty space
the feelings inside me are revived
forgetting thoughts that you are no longer alive
I savour this moment
even though when it's over it will be torment
it's been two long months since you've been gone
I'm trying real hard sweetheart to move on
just lying next to you makes me weak
I don't say a word I can't speak
I just hold on tight and embrace
I close my eyes and enjoy this bit of time, into your eyes i deeply gaze
I know you came by to tell me not to cry
and to say your final good-bye
i understand you didn't mean to leave me like this
you hush the night away and give me a kiss
these other feelings to me are so new and unknown
please return to me every night,i've become afraid and i'm so much alone
I reach over to click on the light
i catch a glimpse of you slowly fading into the night
