Lover of my soul....
you are the one ...
the one whom gave me breath
the very one whom brings me comfort

when I wake up each morning
I wake up with you at my side
when I'm sick ,tired ,sad and lonely
it is you whom lifts me up
the start of everyday
is a new beginning...
a glorious new beginning I always look forward to

I thank you when I wake up...
when I wake up smiling to a new day
if by chance I do not wake
do not wake up to the birth of a brand new day
you are the one, I shall continue to thank

the big picture in life is so ...
so scary to see
I see people walking by w/the look of no hope
that often turns into
"I don't care" I can not cope

this blinds them to see how close you are
I told a few folks about you
they honestly had no clue

they had no clue how close you were
now others they too can reach
I put you in my heart
I learned from your example

others too will be richly satisfied
your words are the food that we all need
so many hunger for your word
but only a few are really being feed

you have remained w/me
from seed to flower
and in my darkest darkest hour
sometimes i do not understand
or realize the answers i seek
the answers never match
those that I look for or really want

everything that i need is there within my very own reach,
deep, deep within my heart..
I am so thankful for you...

i love it
i love this poem! there is a song we sing in church called Jesus, lover of my soul...and its soo cool! i love how people can juss pour out their hearts and feelings toward Jesus without being ashamed! thanx 4 the poe!

thank you for your comment. actually,it was a song i heard on a christian radio station "Jesus Lover of my soul" that inspired me to write this one...that song drew me in tears and sent a surge thru-out my soul that was unexplainable but yet so refreshing and very satisfying ..it evidently left an awesome experience kinda like breathing for the first time, that remained close to my heart..it still makes me sigh just thinking about it....thank you again for taking the time to read & post. have a Blessed day & Happy Holidays..Terrie*
