Open Door
3 November, 2003
Author: Terrie*
the depth of your pain
is my concern
I enjoy your company whenever you drop by
I want you to know that no matter where you may be
I will leave an open door for you to enter
be it summer, spring, fall or winter
day or night your more than welcomed to come inside
precious moments awaiting us to spend
just for a moment a good life lets pretend
lets see if we can put all your troubles in a hat
and with some magic, make them dissapear, just like that
just as we did once before
let's take a peek at the beautiful things that were and remain
I can see you flying a kite in the middle of spring day
skiing down the slopes in Aspen during the winter-break getaway
ahh yes...
I see you fishing at your favorite spot as the sun sets on a sizzling summers eve
taking an early autumn ride on your harley named "Babe'
it is soo good to see the glimpse of your smile
I am so glad you stopped in for awhile
I feel more at peace
knowing that your pain is at ease
I'm glad this visit was able to help you
as we reminisced thru the past
I know just how you feel
because, from time to time I too get very lonely and start to feeling blu
I am greatful for the time that we spend
you remain the best friend ever
whom has shared all the secrets i've ever had
always there helping me embrace a new day
always a blessing to have you over for a chat
and always a pleasure to welcome you back ...
