Picnic In The Park by Terrie*

packed this picnic basket
for the third Birthday I am sharing with you
a lunch for two in the middle of the day
packed up one of our finest wines for you
and some sparkling cider for me
wine is not a usual for our picnics
but today it will mark another milestone
I am happy to tell you another reason that we are celebrating
I can not keep myself from crying
It will be a moment to savour
I know you will be as excited as I
the news brought tears to my eyes
we will be expecting our first child in march
yes darling I am very much pregnant
you are going to be a dad
most of all we are going to have a little girl
you can imagine the tears that flowed
can you believe that
a mini version of me
oh my...
a tiny person to love and spoil
I hope as you read this poem
it will give you a chance to come back and join me here on Earth
my heart is content, our lifes are complete
I knew you waited patiently for this day
I will let you share the news with the rest of the team
I spoke with your boss he will be letting you off for the rest of the day
I didn't share the good news with him
I figured you would want to share something like this
besides the Dr. and the nurse you are the next person to know
definently you are the first one that i told
are you kidding you had the hardest part in this
I hope this will be one picnic in the park that we will both hold dear
I can not wait to hug you, and say thank you my love
little feet little toes your wish for the pitter patter of little feet has finally come true
thank you darling I toast to you for fulfilling my every desire
may we stay healthy and conceive another when the time arrives
not too shabby of a gift for a birthday surprise..
