your tears call out to me
I can not stay very long
I am just passsing thru
and help where I can

but please remember i can only stay for a short while
because I am just passing thru

I notice that you have a tear upon your cheek
I can stay stay long enough to wipe it away
I'll listen to your troubled heart
and help you get thru
you can not see me
but...I am there

I am sorry, I can only stay for awhile
please remember I am just passing thru

my shoulders can take the weight of the world
I know sometimes things are not what they seem
look beyon the open door
you will see into tomorrow

just keep in mind that I am here for a short while
I''m just passing thru

I'm glad to see you smile
when you hold upon your hand
the last picture of me
it brings great relief
our memories will help you thru

please remember I 'm going to be leaving in awhile
I'm just passing thru

I didn't think that it was possible
that you could feel that tear drop of mine
I knew that you would rise
way up above the tide

do not forget that I must leave in awhile
I'm just passing thru

I didn't know how bad your heart was bleeding
I was passing by and I thought it would be good
to see you from a distant
and stop that heart from breaking

it tears me apart
but I am just passing thru

none of us ever stay too long
every day another soul passes away
we gather around so they won't make the journey alone
on the day I was unable to stay
your dad placed his hand on my shoulder and lead me away

when he was passing thru

when you feel that little bit of mist upon your cheek
do not be afraid it is only me..
everytime a light flickers
you will know that I am near

just remember I'm only passing thru

your dad and I went to meet your mom
we all came back for your brother John
I returned once again for my brother Ken
it was sad how he died

my heart was breaking when you stood there and cried
you knew that once again I was passing thru

I look on from where I'm at
I get misty eyed just lookingf at you
and the love that we shared I can not give it back
but...I want you to move on
even though I still have feelings for you
you have a lot of love and life left
share it with someone whom can return that unconditional love back

I wish I could...
but...I can not stay long
I have to remind myself...I am just passing thru

I know you have grown strong thru out the years
I would still feel comfortable if love found you
and for all your life took good care of you....

until then I may come back for you..
when it is time..
when I'm passing thru..
