A path I chose not to follow,
feelings I push down inside.
I've lost my will to go on,
but I've still got my pride.
I've been handed different lives,
I set them all aside.
My hands still reach out empty,
but I've still got my pride.
I could live my life the way others choose,
rushing with the tide;
I'd still be questioned and abused,
but I'd still have my pride.
No matter where I turn,
I look for someone on my side;
I could look for miles and there'd be no one,
but I'd still have my pride.

And you still have your pride......Good one Hippiechic21! That's something that nobody can take away. Your faith and your pride. That's right, hold on to what you've got Hippiechic21!
