My Life Will Never Be Empty
22 July, 2003
Author: Bench
I went to my study one morning
And picked up my pen and music book
Thinking of the right words
To capture how much I love you
But my mind reels
>From the deluge of words
And my page remains empty.
So I went inside my room
And picked up my guitar
Strumming the right notes
To sing how much I love you
But my fingers grow numb
From the multitude of melodies
And my guitar remains empty.
Next I went to the garden
And brought my vase
Choosing the right flowers
To show how much I love you
But my eyes become blind
>From the radiance of colors
And my vase remains empty.
Then I went to the kitchen
And took out vegetables and spices
Putting together the right ingredients
To express how much I love you
But my taste buds become saturated
From the abundance of flavors
And my table remains empty.
Finally I went to my heart
And searched for meaning
Trying to shed light on what I am feeling
And if only my heart could speak
It will shout with all its might
I love you! I love you! I love you!
And my life will never be empty.
