Dreams Of Life
6 March, 2003
Author: Texas
He lays there and dreams of a life
of him with two kids and a wife.
as a the car drives away he listens to the bass.
trying to hold on to this last look on of his friends face.
he dreams of times when he was a kid
running, shouting, and all the other stuff they did.
he dreams of life lived not on the fast paced streets
where money doesnt come from drugs and phat beats
he lies on the street bullet hole in his chest
he thinks "damn i knew i should have worn my vest"
all he hears is everyone crying
as he drifts away slowly dying
with his last breath he tells his friend
"get two kids and a wife
then get out this thug life."
