A Rock

The life of a rock
That's the life for me
No boulder, no pebble
A rock is what pleases me
A rock has no feelings
A rock tells no lies
A rock hasn't a family
To comfort it's sighs
A rock watches life
From only what passes by
But a rock won't see much
For his head, never held high
A rock can never love
For a rock hasn't a heart
A rock plays it safe
For no one he'll ever part
A rock wouldn't mind cracking
A rock would never care
A rock has no emotion
No intention to share
A rock never bleeds
For a rock feels no pain
Since a rock is so hard
No wonder it never complains
For i am this rock
That no one understands
But behind the cold stone
There is always a helping hand
I show no feeling
I tell no lies
But here i am my love
To comfort all your sighs
Yes the life of a rock
It could be the life for me
But if i were never there for you
Nothing would ever please me...
