Passion

What makes humans so different, so unique? Many people would turn to genetics or say it’s that we have cognitive thought. Others would say its because we love and kill. And yes we do that, but that’s not why we’re different. What makes us different is passion. Passion drives us to do those things. Passion spawns death and life. Passion spawns the desire to take or give life. Passion also makes us hate or love. But what about those without passion? What about those that sit and do nothing with their lives? They certainly have no passion. If they did then they wouldn’t live empty lives. But no, that’s not right. They have passion. They just live in fear. They fear to do what they want to do and fail. So fear is the enemy of people and passion, it’s the enemy of what makes us human. So I say why live in fear? Why deny my passions? Without passion I am nothing but a shell. Granted when you have no passion, or hide it, you are probably the closest to peace that you will ever be in life. But how is that different from death? When you live without passion you are nothing but an empty person denying your soul its right to live. A shell taking up space. You are nothing more than a vessel with a dead soul. Passion is the reason the world is the way it is. Why is there so much death and evil in the world? Because evil men follow those passions and make it that way. But then again there is so much beauty, life, and love in the world, why? Because the passions of good people lead them there. So I leave you with this. Don’t live in fear. Embrace your passions, whatever they may be. Because without it you’re not human. You’re just another dead person, but worse. Those that are truly dead have no say. But those that live without passion choose to be dead. So they are nothing more than a wasted life. |
