Poem To My Mother
8 June, 2001
Author: Tonya Dzierzon
You have been there to wipe all of my tears.
You have helped me through my most difficult years.
Ever since childhood you met my every need.
Even when others doubted in me you did believe.
Even when I lied to you and swore it was the truth.
You always kept my secrets, your tongue was never loose.
You always kept me safe and out of harms way.
You never forget to say you love me each and every day.
You pushed me to the goal and held me back from fire.
You always told me to pursue in life the things I most desire.
You were there for everything both good and bad.
I remember you never let me know when you were sad.
You were there for me financially and emotionally too.
Mom, dont you ever forget that I will always love you.
You were there for it all, no matter the situation.
And though I'll always love you, I need my liberation.
