Strength Of A Young Soul
1 March, 2004
Author: Tricia
(Dedicated to Kylie, A young beautiful lass with strength and courage.)
So small, so sweet and innocent.
The questions come in floods.
the whys, how comes and what did i do?
My child, it wasnt you, it wasnt your fault.
It has happened to many, and we do not know why.
The nightmares will fade, as the time passes by.
Your days will grow brighter, your nights will be calm.
Noone knows why god made men like him.
Noone knows why it happened here.
There are no true answers.
All we know is he is a bad man.
The law doesnt help girls like us.
They punish him with community service,
or a few months of jail.
That is just a short sentence and does no justice,
when girls like you and I live a life time of punishment.
In time, we move on, in time, our fears subside.
We grow and learn to love, yet deep down he is always there.
Always haunting our thoughts.
But dont let him get to you, Kylie;
for you are not alone.
There are others who feel your pain,
know your fears, cry your tears.
You are a brave young soul,
with a heart of gold.
With family that loves you so very much.
Friends that care, even though you do not know us.
Your courage is greater then the fierces lion,
your strength is stronger then the biggest bear.
Hold that lovely head up high, and dont freight my
dear Kylie, for I send my prayers on Angels wings.
As a friend in a far distant land, a friend that holds you dear.
