You came in last night
I asked if you had been drinking.
You said, dang right
I had a hard day today what else should I do.
I just sat there and staired hoping you had seen
my tears.
I tried to explain that I was there to talk to but
you walked to the fridge and grabbed a beer.
You came stumbling in last night
I was sound asleep, you awoke me
tring to give me your appologizes
and I love you dear.
But you couldn't see the pain I felt and
the fear I held my inside.
You walked past the bed and to the vanity
There stood our wedding picture, and you
got a tear.
I heard you whisper, why can't it be like old times
when we were so close and in love.
I couldn't help but feel your pain.
but yet you never felt mine.
You always say, "You love me"
yet I fight for you because the fight
for your love and the love of the bar.
Maybe one day You will see the love I have for you
Maybe one day our love will be true once more.
Until then I shall fight to show my love,
and have you talk to me and pick me over that
smoke filled bar.
------- Author's Notes -------
Some times you must love someone, just because you do. But you dont love what they do. The hardest part of loving them is looking threw what they do. But someway some how our love will make it through. |
