Unknown Life
11 September, 2003
Author: Tricia
In the midst of the day
your orders change.
This life we know is untold.
Of the trials we live, the dangers we face.
One hour your coming home,
the next you must stay gone.
They say 365 days he must stay.
Not a day earlier but maybe a date late.
Its your job yes I know,
But do they care about your family
you left back home?
The tears we cry each night and
the candles in which we light.
The plans I make for the unknown life
I will take.
The life of a soldier wife.
We dream of a life in which we will plan,
But being a soldier and a wife, we have an unknown life.
Together we shall travel to far distant lands, fighting
battle after battle right beside one another.
You and I living the life of unknown. Together forever!!
