Our Soldier Boys
23 July, 2003
Author: Tricia
Our soldier boys, they went away.
Someday they'll come back to stay.
They've sent our loved ones far away.
They sent them to fight for our country free.
Their hearts knew no boundaries.
For our Freedom, they fought
For our Freedom, they died.
For Freedom they sought all,
and Freedom they cried.
Our soldier boys they went away,
and only some will come back to stay.

Terrie* (65.148.210.94) -- Monday, July 28 2003, 11:50 pm Tricia... your poem was sad and sooo true... a co-worker whom was military bound at one point in her life...lost her husband and son fighting for our freedom at different eras in time..she has a dtr. whom is in uniform too. her new husband is also in uniform...if the men in her life were alive today..they would fight for our freedom all over again..we at home share a prayer for each and every one...thank you for sharing your poem......Terrie* |
Tricia (206.230.22.65) -- Tuesday, July 29 2003, 02:32 am Terrie, Thank you for your input on my poetry. Most of my poems are of what I have gone through as a girlfriend of an Army Sgt. I just found out he could have came home because of an injury but in his heart he couldnt leave his unit. Please send my thoughts and prayers to her from one soldiers "wife" to another. god bless Tricia |
