Deployment
23 July, 2003
Author: Tricia
His dream is to be deployed.
Yet his love for me, makes him want to stay.
I can't ask that of him so I wish him fare well,
in hopes that he will come back to see me soon.
Traveling to a far distant and unfamiliar land.
My picture keeps his heart true and lets him know
someone is back home waiting for his glorious return.
The promise of marriage keeps me strong.
Yet I know the military will always come before me.
That is the life of an army wife.
Deployment, leaving those closest to you.
Saying goodbye, taking the chance of never returning.
Life with out love and comfort.
