This Is Me

Cutting is a part of me
Just let me be
Cutting is different
That is true
But it is something I do
I like the way it makes me feel
To hold that sharp stainless steal
Against my arm
Against my leg
Against my wrist
Against my flesh
To apply the knife to my body
Makes me feel like I am somebody
Just a little pressure to make it bleed
That will be all I need
To feel that I am alive
This is the only way I know how to survive

Only cutters know what tzuhsi is talking about here. You don't know what it's like to cut until you've gone so far downhill, fallen so far into that seething abyss, that you need some way to cleanse that unspeakable pain... some way to let yourself know that you are still a living being. |
