Is it just a state of being
That keeps us where we are
In a pit or on a cloud

Is it just a chemical balance
that makes light or dark
so we see what's there
or see what we what we want
or see what we fear
of fear what we see

Is it just a passing phase
to wonder at a soul

Is it only a twist of fate
that brings us in or out
of the world we have

Is it just a longing need
that keeps us together
a past dream that never faded
a desire to be with the one
that cruel circumstance took away

Is it true that you and I
are made somehow just right
to walk together in living dreams
in happiness and in pain

Is it you that my heart seeks
with such passion and love
to be with me as time goes by
to wonder at all we share

Is it only
my heart telling me lies
when I look into your eyes
and see the future as one of joy
with our togetherness and boundless love
I see the strength
to change the world
to make it through
to be truly alive

Is it just me
I wonder at times
But you bring me back
time and time again
to put to rest my fears
Your words and lips
Your caress
Your passionate embrace
Your carefree gestures
Your ease of being

Is it just you
I know it is
The one
she who inspires me to such love.
