Shattered Visions
6 December, 2003
Author: Vivian Lee Merchant
Ideas so bold and bright,
Shimmering long into the night.
Thoughts which are abound,
Dyeing into the ground.
Rivers flood my inner space,
Droughts often replaced.
Can you hear those thoughts of mine,
Tinkling on the bells that chime.
Dead on the vine,
Before it's time.
Visions of dreams,
Never to be seen.
Shattered and torn,
All dilapidated and worn.
Wishes and hopes crying to be released,
Dreams wilting away to become deceased.
