Rainfall
9 March, 2001
Author: Wilde Kat
Rain falling softly
from the sky'
Like teardrops spilling
from an eye.
Gently tumbling, quietly
landing in the grass.
Rolling down each blade
to disappear amongst the mass.
Clouds burst violently
and pelt the ground,
Droplets crash and explode
with a drumming sound.
From behind the clouds
the sun peeks through,
Catching each rain crystal
and shattering in hue.
Rain fell softly
to the earth,
Bringing forth a
wonderous rebirth.
