Lion's Pride
12 February, 2001
Author: Wilde Kat
Regally the head is held high
Surveying the surrounding lands
With eye so keen and sharp,
Seeing things many had not planned.
The scavengers gather round him
Plaguing and picking, trying to tear apart
The lion who strongly stands there.
But he will prevail, he has heart.
Wounded and hurt, he finds solace
In the company of a few
Recuperating, rejuvinating himself
To begin the journey anew.
A journey that will take time,
Patience and perseverance shall be needed
But such things will bring him
To a place were few have ever proceeded.
How is this possible many ask
But they don't know whats inside.
For underneath it all you will find
The unbreakable lion's pride.
