The Stalker
2 March, 2003
Author: Will Berry
Time,
The relevant stalker,
The unremitting walker,
It is ahead of me,
Because time,
Has always been behind me,
Never, ever, free,
But I want to get away, get away,
>From time,
To have an impregnable place,
To stay,
Just for a while,
All my own,
What there is left,
I no longer want to loan,
To time, to the stalker,
Only mine, just this, please time,
But the stalker comes for me,
Always,
And I shall no longer want to escape,
It will cover me with cosmic drape,
Peace,
This time,
This stalker will bring peace,
I shall fall into its fold,
Not afraid,
No longer cold.
