Gray Mist And Gravel
27 December, 2002
Author: Will Berry
Gray mist permeates the air,
Surrounding us,
Everywhere,
Distorting all perceptions,
The certainty of sunshine,
An exception,
Loose gravel beneath our feet,
The feeling of peat,
Giving not a solid surface,
Retarding progression,
Once our confident possession,
Humankind,
Must elevate,
Clearing the mind,
Looking, searching,
A better horizon,
Another year now starting,
A refugee time,
Departing.
