Aileron
7 July, 2002
Author: Will Berry
I walked out of the hospital,
Gaining another sight,
Looking above, smelling the air,
Now seeing something,
Previously beyond care,
I felt the sweet warmth,
Of simplicity,
Adornment reclaimed,
And not ashamed,
I went to the ground,
Kneeling there,
So thankful again,
Where I had once been,
Now it was back,
Given back,
Found again on that sacred ground,
My aileron.
