Between Wives
21 July, 2002
Author: Will Berry
I used to go, you know,
With a girl named Maude Linn,
From Omaha, where the west used to begin,
She could get quite detrimental,
When I gave her presents rather elemental,
Maybe even inconsequential,
I'm really sorry Maude,
That the Tupperware never worked out,
I should've found some costume jewelry laying about,
(Maude always thought I was a fraud)
Then I dated a girl name Dorothy Comine,
And we were really doing fine,
But she liked to shorten her name,
To "Dot Com," and then came her fame,
She successfully sued the Internet,
For all she could get,
That was in 1999,
Today she goes with Baron Helmut Refine,
(But, I'm still hot for Dot)
So, I think I'll change gears,
Recently, I happened to be in Sears,
And saw a picture of Britney Spears.......
