Double Whammy
13 July, 2002
Author: Will Berry
One ringy-dingy.....
Don't mean to whine,
Looking back at what I lacked,
To a life not well designed,
Daily passages of brine,
And many years unsigned,
Alas, I couldn't have been confined,
Because when I opened my mouth,
I always went straight south,
Obviously, take the hard line,
Should have been a mime.
Two ringy-dingy.....
Roses are red,
Violets are blue,
The bees are a-swarming,
Until we get global warming,
Then, from what I've seen,
We will become Soylent Green,
And a new verse to curse:
Roses are rust,
Violets are gray,
Anybody seen the bees today?
