Pity Points

I live with a certain lady,
Not to worry,
There is nothing shady,
In the 66th year of age,
My testosterone output,
Is no longer in rage,
But in these relationships,
There is a certain difficulty,
That often brings,
Disharmony,
With her 30-somethings,
They look at their mother,
Then at me like I'm half-dim,
Asking, "Where did you ever find him?"
Worse, they are Republican conservatives,
And they will never accept the fact,
That I am a liberal Democrat,
Well, I shall put up my social barricades,
As I raise my wrinkled fist,
Proclaiming for all,
"Surprise, children,
"I'm really a Fabian Socialist!"
Till then I sit in a coffee shop,
Life's decaf last stop,
And utter not even a peep,
Being known for the company,
I never keep
