Move On
3 December, 2002
Author: Xeracy
I heard something with disbelief
And disbelief was all I heard
I heard cries of pain at the at the fingertips of my enemies
And my enemies' victory was all I heard
They brought forth a powerful message
And this message was all I heard
They fly free, celebrating in triumph
We crumble beneath them, not knowing what to do
When will we not break?
When can we stand tall?
When will we stop listening?
When can we move on?...
When will we move on?

Pamela (66.38.146.14) -- Sunday, December 15 2002, 01:57 am I could be way off on a limb but to me, this poem is about war. The most vicious and masochistic thing that has ever taken place - and your last line meaning perhaps "when will we evolve and find a better way to resolve." Nice poem :O) |
Capricorn (62.30.192.1) -- Sunday, December 15 2002, 01:58 am Nice flow of words here, especially like the last stanza. |
