It's Been 7 Months
10 December, 2003
Author: Your Melody
This is so hard for me to write
for I have no inspiration
and no special way to say these words
This never used to happen to me
until you couldn't be found
You weren't inside my heart or soul
and even if I was still thinking of you
In my mind you could never be found
I've been looking down every hallway for you
only to find empty stares and lost memories
It's been so many months since I've heard the sound
of your laughter and a smile in your voice
I've loved you for so many months without your consent
and I know I could love you for so many more
This hurts to write and I don't know
if you'll ever read my words
But it's been seven months since I openly said this,
and thruthfully,
I don't think I can go seven months more.

Seizure (68.215.129.132) -- Friday, December 12 2003, 04:41 am When I first started reading, I was real intent... then it got to the love stuff again and I thought to myself, "oh great, another damn love poem." But you turned it around as far as I'm concerned and took this genré of poem in a new direction. It definitely stands out among the crowd. It was a nice read, good job. |
Your Melody (207.190.93.33) -- Saturday, December 13 2003, 10:21 pm Thanx Seizure for your comments. It wasn't supposed to be a love poem, persay, it was supposed to be telling how I was inspired to write by a person that i loved and still do who wasn't there for seven months, whom i just talked to a few days ago, and now it seems easier to write again. Thanx again. |
