I Have To Go Back
28 July, 2003
Author: Your Melody
I know that you don't like me
nor do I like you
but as I look to the past that I'll never forget
I'm starting to find that I have lots to regret
Regrets about everything that happened
In the last few months and more
I was being too naive to see
the problems that started deep down at the core
I thought it'd be so cool
to have an older boyfriend
So I decided to break the rule
and try to keep my secret until forevers end
We both agreed this had to be kept quiet
because my reputation was at stake
I thought that if no one knew
everything would be just great!
I thought you'd keep your promise
to keep your big mouth shut
but then you told your friends
and I knew I'd never have any such luck
>From the start they all hated me
they said I was seriously stuck-up
although I must admit they were sorta right
I still wish I would've known things could get this messed up
My mom found the hickies
you gave me the night I tried to sneak out
I told my grandparents this great big lie
and when they found out
I figured that somewhere I must've somehow taken a wrong route
Because this wasn't where I wanted to be
not at this point and day of age
I wanted to go back through time
to try and find my way
Although I let things carry-on
maybe just a tad bit too far
I finally decided that I have to go back
to find where I truely do belong.
