What Makes My Dad
27 December, 2001
Author: Your Melody
God took the strength of a mountain,
To inflict pain and more
The warmth of a dark chilly cave,
The calmness of my parents fighting
The generous soul of someone who doesn't care
The comforting arm of a prison inmate,
The wisdom, hell, God forgot that
The power of one of those fists hitting me straight in the face
The disappointment of his daughter,
The carefulness not to let her know about his dark past,
The patience of a bat out of hell,
The depth of his knife cutting deep into my soul.
Then God combined these qualities,
When there was nothing more to add,
He knew His masterpiece was complete,
And so, He called it ... Dad

Your Melody (207.190.93.142) -- Saturday, December 28 2002, 11:39 pm The reason I write poems, is to express my feelings, like so many others do. This poem express' my hatred towards my father. I wish my dad was different too, but no matter how much he screws up in his life time, he will always be my father, and I will always love him. |
