Back In The Day

Times like these
Remind me of that old summer breeze
Climbing with neighbors in the tallest of trees
Late at night
We’d stay out of sight
Hiding and seeking
or through his window peeking
run without worry
ice cream truck! better hurry!
The years have passed
And time slips by so fast
Now we cant go back
Friends forever we thought we'd be
Months pass without you being seen
Where did the time go?
Whats left to show?
This childhood memory slips away
Never again will it feel the same
