The Stars by XoForeverXo

The stars were out tonight.That is what you once said.
Could you see them?.Is what you once asked.
You were right.They are beautiful.

Lying in bed, as I pray,
Wonder and anticipation leads my mind astray.
Thinking of what you're doing today,
And all of the reasons why we must live so far away.

But even though we're miles apart,
There is a strange sense of comfort that lies in my heart.
Because while we lead our two separate lives,
I know that we're living them, under the same exact sky.

And if you're feeling lonely or blue,
Just know that somewhere, I'm feeling that too.
Now what's being said, is probably long overdue,
But you never believed this, never thought it was true.

So when you look up into the stars,
I hope it doesn't seem as if we're too far.
Because even though you're not here by my side,
There's still our love that we cannot hide.

And suddenly.I smiled.
Because maybe.
We were wishing on that same exact star,
that same exact night.
Aren't they Amazing?
The stars were out tonight .Could you see them?

Brought back memories
XoForeverXo, Wow! This brought back some memories I forgotten. I remember sitting on a rooftop in Hawaii, looking up at those stars. A separation time. She on the other side of the ocean looking at the dark ocean and reaching out to the stars. Both thinking of each other and holding on to time, untill we could be one again. She wrote a song about that time. Awesome poem for me. Thanks for sharing your poem XoForeverXo. Nice name and a very nice poem. It touched me.

Once again you have written another great poem! Your poem reminded me bout Jeremy...come to think bout it, it reminded me a lot of Jeremy. :( maybe we are dreaming on the same star still, who know. I kno, i am but him...guess i just have to wait and see what the future bring.

No ones ever written so true
its funny you poem brougt a tear to my eye, its funny because i have a thing with the stars, no matter where i go no matter where i am, i always look for the stars and hope that my boyfriend is doing the same. Like i said no ones ever written so true!
