Where The Horses Run
12 January, 2004
Author: Ben Laney
Today a picture crossed my mind
a picture of those happy times
Where the horses run
I relived some sweet memories
beautiful moments she shared with me
Where the horses run
My heart opened up
wider than that grassy field
And I fell in love
I fell in love head over heels
Where the horses run
Oh, I can clearly see her face
when I think back to that place
where the horses run
moonlight shining bright on her skin
my blood was hot and racing then
where the horses run
Now winter winds are growing cold
dead leaves are blowing down the road
where the horses run
I just may find myself tonight
walking alone in silver star light
where the horses run
My heart opened up
wider than that grassy field
And I fell in love
I fell in love head over heels
Where the horses run
Where the horses run
Where the horses run

Linda (216.140.45.243) -- Sunday, July 18 2004, 07:27 am Hey Ben, I'm thrilled to find your lyrics online--it feels like a visit with a dear old friend. Where the Horses Run contains such powerful imagery--the dead leaves rolling down the road really pulled me in. Your talent still amazes me--it is truly a gift from God. May you always feel deeply, sing powerfully, and write to touch souls. |
