To Exist
19 February, 2001
author: Rebecca Ditch-Hammack (aka Dreamer)
Darkness again calls
As imperfections cite to expose realities flaws
Hearts once filled with the passions of tenderness
Cease in their attemps to over come
Pain again fills destiny's call
Yet sadly we continue to exist
Dreams for the angel of dragons wings
Now fade into the depths of what once was
Left only are the shadows of trust
Cast upon the rocks of the breaking tide
And yet sadly we continue to exist
Tomorrows now fill with empty reasons
As tears of blood now pool to the rivers edge
A heaviness weighing down the soul
Of a war won; yet lost forever
And yet sadly we continue to exist
Within the core a striving put forth
But to what needless end does it seek
The reason to be no longer takes light
another fraction of life destroyed
And as the grand oak bows it's might head
sadly we continue to exist
and sadly... we do continue to exist
