I Fault You Not
1 September, 1998
author: Rebecca Ditch-Hammack (aka Dreamer)
I fault you not for who you are
For the dragon you've set free
Its wings of darkness which evolved you
Leaving only this to be
The turmoil that surrounds you now
Holds you tight with ease
Too weakened by the dragons fight
You sink to bended knee
Your heart again has taken the blow
For what was not your fight
And what the dragon has stole from you
Leaves you bound by it's plight
It's bonds are the restraint upon you
Mere mortal that you are
Evading the truth of your bondage
The dragon blood has taken you far
The inner battle of moral issue dawns
For quickened strength you search
Answers are only found within
The human heart.. your only church
Though battles end is not yet known
Rainbows stretch; while the poisons rot
But for this cause of what you are
I still will fault you not
