A Cry In The Night
1 August, 1998
author: Rebecca Ditch-Hammack (aka Dreamer)
A cry in the night
Is the sound I just heard
Tearing my heart out
Oh, my love, you have stirred
How desperate a sound
Your fingers have made
As I re-read your words
These memories won't soon fade
I responded an answer
To your lonely hearts call
Oh please, I pray,
You don't take the fall
I sit here waiting
For a response to my mail
Hoping I catch you early enough
I pray I don't fail
As anxiety pounds in my head
As I stare at my screen
All I can think is
Please don't let him or her be dead
