Forever Love
2 March, 1999
author: Rebecca Ditch-Hammack (aka Dreamer)
I think about the love we had
Memories by the moon
The forbidden path we walked together
The dreams for which we made room
Just fools we were to fall in love
Thinking we were the only ones so clever
That the time we shared was ours alone
And that our Love would last forever
But time went on and illusions died
And the reality swept in
The truth out weighed the moonbeams
Our Love, caught up in life's sin
By life's tragedies we were swept apart
Both our lives from different lands
Ripped apart our hearts cried out
But life had made its stand
Life now goes on as it always did,
Day in... day out... again
But our hearts will always remember
That once upon a time, there was this friend
Just fools we were, in love
Thinking we were the only ones so clever
That the time we shared was ours alone
But somehow.... our love does last forever
------- Author's Notes -------
The Internet is a wonderful place to meet and fall in love. But treasure and be true to your own heart... for it doesn't realize it could all be a facade |
