Wake Up Morning Bird!

Author: Ben Laney
Night-time is done
now comes the dawn
shining with bright light
The day is new
it's up to you
to start it out right
Wake up morning bird
It's time for you to sing!
Wake up morning bird
Shake the dew off your wings
Wake up morning bird
Let your sweet music ring
Wake up morning bird
It's time for you to sing!
Some sleepy-heads
are still in their beds
drifting in their dreams
They need a song
so don't be long
Take it on the breeze
Go gather in
your fine-feathered friends
From all the four winds
and let the symphony begin
Wake up morning bird
It's time for you to sing!
Wake up morning bird
Shake the dew off your wings
Wake up morning bird
Let your sweet music ring
Wake up morning bird
It's time for you to sing
------- Author's Notes -------
I was sitting out on the back deck when it struck me! SOMEBODY'S got to wake up the morning bird! Of course, I FLEW to the task and woke the morning bird in the nick of time! WHEW! I wish I could've saved the entire universe, but I'm only a mere human being with a very limited attention span! I'm dedicating this to my daughter Angel's |

Ben (67.123.245.222) -- Wednesday, November 19 2003, 02:54 am Terrie*, I am glad you like Wake Up Morning Bird! And, yes, there are studies that show that even in the womb little ones will respond to music or to the spoken word. Reading poetry, the bible, and or other books, to the baby would also show your respect for them as the intelligent, valuable beings they are even before you see them! They probably hear that Morning Birds' song, too! Thank you soooo much for your comment! ***Ben |
