Shallow Deep
7 April, 2003
Author: AJ
One night upon a shallow deep,
My mind did wander; gave way to sleep
Amidst a dream did i awake
To find control was truly fake
I fell upon a desolate cage
Worn and torn, consumed by age
As if the shadows around werent bleak
My vision throughout the cage was weak
Deep inside the cage did hide
A demon for which my soul to abide
I broke the lock, destroyed the cage
And in a heavy angered rage,
The demon rose, in hellish pose,
My fiery soul through him did show,
Roaring, screaming, eyes'a'glare,
And him with him no connection shared,
For my slumber had run meek,
and now i wait, again to sleep.

bipedalguy (65.96.237.196) -- Wednesday, March 12 2008, 03:30 pm I like your style of writing. Dreams (and nightmares) can be very curious with their fragmented images. Your description of the experience is clever and creative. |
