Pizza Night
2 October, 1999
author: Rebecca Ditch-Hammack (aka Dreamer)
Pizza pizza pizza
Where for art thou pizza
Sitting here and waiting
In hunger anticipating
Looking looking looking
At my watch face I am looking
Watching as another pizza goes by
I am hungry and my throat is dry
Apologies apologies apologies
For the wait there are apologies
I explain a drink would be nice
Sorry again says she "I will lower your price"
Waiting waiting waiting
Still longer we sit waiting
Looking its an hour later
Thought hungry stomachs here they catered
Finally finally finally
Our pizza arrives finally
Eat one slice and then two
I guess I am full so that will do
Check check check
The waitress brings the check
She says such patience she was glad to see
And because of this our meal was free
------- Author's Notes -------
Patience is a virtue. And just sometimes, it pays :) |
