The Healing Hand's Of Friendship
3 September, 1999
author: Rebecca Ditch-Hammack (aka Dreamer)
My friend if only you knew
The magical touch of your words
The kindness of your heart remains
Embedded deep inside my core
When I read your heart, I weep
Silently, in blessed understanding
Your words sustaining what was left
Of my sad and tortured soul
Again you reached out with love
Responding to the hearts call
Filling my heart with belonging
No longer alone in its facade of life
There are not the words to share or the language to speak
That reach anyone as have you
But your healing hand's of friendship
Are the hands that have pulled me through
------- Author's Notes -------
Sometimes where there seems to be nothing left good in the world. A voice speaks from the quiet darkness returning light to the void. And this bright glimmer called friendship is there holding your hand enough to get your through yet another day. This I dedicate to those whose wise, caring, hands of friendship cradled me through the roughest times in my life. Thank you all. |
