Heart's Truth
6 February, 2000
author: Rebecca Ditch-Hammack (aka Dreamer)
Do not look to others for answers
You could easily find in your heart
For we are all but human
And will fail you from the start
To open up your eyes and see
The person that we do
Quietly seek within you
The Answers remain true
Depending upon the others
You open yourself to hurt
For they do not see clear as you
They do not wear your shirt
Why live with others choices
Consequences that are not yours
Suffer not perceptions of others
When the words within you soar
To bend and mold to what others do
You will never lead
Looking deeper into what you already know
In the heart's truth you will succeed
